1. Conditions of use
By using this website and the LivQuiz services, you certify that you have read and reviewed this Agreement and agree to comply with its terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the services. LivQuiz only grants access to those who accept these terms.
2. Privacy
Before continuing, please review our Privacy Policy. It explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
3. Age restriction
You must be at least 13 years old to create a LivQuiz account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf. LivQuiz assumes no responsibility for liabilities arising from age misrepresentation.
4. Intellectual property
All materials provided on LivQuiz — including software, design, code, copy, and branding — are the property of LivQuiz, its affiliates, and its licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from LivQuiz's intellectual property without prior written consent.
Your content. You retain ownership of the content you upload. By uploading, you grant LivQuiz a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, store, transmit, and process that content for the purpose of providing the service to you and, where you've made it public or listed it on the marketplace, to other users.
5. User accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or breach.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use LivQuiz for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
- Upload content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or use automated means to access the service except as expressly permitted.
- Use the service to cheat or violate the academic integrity policies of any institution.
7. Subscriptions & payments
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Price changes. We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Founder pricing, where applicable, is locked in for as long as the subscription remains active.
8. Marketplace & creators
Creators on the LivQuiz marketplace may list their content for sale. LivQuiz retains 20% of every transaction as a platform fee; creators keep 80%. Creators warrant that they own or are licensed to sell the content they list, and they indemnify LivQuiz against claims arising from the content.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay. On termination, your access ends; we retain certain data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
LivQuiz is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific exam outcomes. The readiness score is an estimate based on your activity within the platform; it is not a guarantee of exam performance.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LivQuiz is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LivQuiz harmless against any legal claims or demands arising from your use or misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts of Ontario.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app message.
